How we started

The Vegas effort developed out of a need to help and rescue dumped community bunnies at the Charleston dumpsite where up to 1000 bunnies were fighting to stay alive. Our grassroots effort helped a few hundred of the original dumpsite bunnies in the most dire need to be rescued, vetted, rehabbed and transported all over North America between 2016 and 2019.

Now, we rescue and rehabilitate abandoned bunnies and educate about our rescue efforts. We support community rabbits at the local Nevada SPCA and provide education and in-kind donations to fill the gap.

This website is for the purpose of encouraging a network for like-minded rescuers, rescues and the educated bunny community. It is meant to be a resource and a guide.

We do not accept private surrenders of personal pet bunnies that require rehoming.

About the Author

My home foster based small grassroots rescue evolved from a love of house rabbits that began in 1982. I became an "accidental "or progressive feral bunny exclusively rescuer only after volunteering in municipal shelters run by the police department and animal control. I also fostered bunnies for different rescues and shelters. I use the word "accidental" because I had no plans to progress to the level at which I now operate. I simply saw a need and wanted to help bunnies.
